The iPoker, the world’s third largest place to play poker online and home of renowned Titan Poker, has announced it will be eliminating two online poker rooms from its roster in early 2009. As of no later than January 24th, NoIQ Poker and Carlos Poker will no longer be a part of the iPoker Network.
It’s not yet clear why the iPoker Network has chosen to send NoIQ Poker and Carlos Poker to the rails, so to speak. Thus far, the only statement from iPoker was issued in a recent press release:
“iPoker has, following discussions with Tain, decided to remove Carlos Poker and NoIQ Poker from the iPoker Network. The said cardrooms will be removed from the iPoker network liquidity by January 24th, 2009.”
Experts are adamant that there must be some clear and present motivation reason behind the scenes, but until more information becomes available, we can only speculate as to the motivation behind the unexpected maneuver.
The iPoker Network is, and has been for quite some time, the third largest online poker Network, led by its pride and joy, Titan Poker. Only PokerStars and Full Tilt Poker respectively draw more traffic. As for possibly concerned members of leading online poker room, TitanPoker.com, it should be safe to say iPoker won’t be exiling its top performer anytime soon.
